The GHS program in Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) is accredited for Level One and Level Two with the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE). GHS is a 1000+ bed healthcare system that includes a large 614-bed tertiary-care hospital with Level One Trauma Center and three smaller hospitals in surrounding communities. The main facility is a teaching hospital with seven residency programs and a medical library. Chaplains serve as members of the interdisciplinary team and are a vital part of patient care at GHS.

Also, Greenville Memorial Hospital has received the American Stroke Association’s Get With The Guidelines SM–Stroke (GWTG–Stroke) Silver Performance Achievement Award. The award recognizes Greenville Memorial’s commitment and success in implementing a higher standard of stroke care by ensuring that stroke patients receive treatment according to nationally accepted standards and recommendations.
