GHS Clinical University establishes partnerships with academic partners whose programs transform health care and contribute to the health care and workforce needs of the communities we serve. Their students receive clinical training and education from GHS Clinical University that supports their home institution’s overall curriculum and prepares them for their future career.
Three distinct levels of partnership have been developed:
Primary partners work with GHS Clinical University at the board level to create joint institutional initiatives via a Joint Board Liaison Committee. The partnership requires a foundational agreement with legal review and senior leadership participation. Strategic in nature, these partnerships address planning, resource allocation, the sharing of clinical and academic expertise, facilities and brand identity. GHS Clinical University has established primary partnerships in three distinct areas:
Affiliate partners work with GHS Clinical University to develop and implement multiple initiatives and programs. This requires an affiliation agreement with legal review and institutional leadership participation. These partnerships include specific initiatives and programs and appropriate assistance with start-up resources.
Collaborative partners work with GHS Clinical University on specific initiatives and programs. This requires a collaborative agreement between GHS and the academic institution that identifies the nature of the relationship, timeliness, specific initiative or program, and appropriate assistance with start-up resources.
